We visited a forest-side lake retreat just 20 minutes outside Bucharest, and it was honestly such a cute and atmospheric spot. The A-frame cabin, the pool, and the lake view all created a really cozy vibe. They even had a live DJ playing some great beats, which made the whole place feel even more relaxing and fun. The food was amazing — we tried the cheese platter and the bean dip, served with their house-made butter and focaccia, and everything was absolutely delicious. Our pasta and rib-eye steak with chimichurri were also perfect. We each had a beer, and even with all that, the bill was still better than most places in Bucharest — and the food quality was way better too. Definitely worth the visit!
